95°F? I do believe it's summer now.

Summertime. At the moment, I'm working on a(nother) summer math class while trying to enjoy the very last summer vacation of my life. So far, I have been on a couple of adventures! That... never happens.

We surprised Mom for her 50th birthday (it wasn't on the actual day, but we got there when we could). She took us out to eat, to Pottery By You (I MUST return... so many ideas!), and to bug my sister at work.

And the other day, Natalie and I explored a tiny bit of Chicago as she showed me how to navigate the L. It's... not as hard as I thought it would be... as many things turn out to be downtown. Our exploring did have a purpose. We journeyed to Challengers Comics and Conversation on 1845 N Western Ave to meet Amber Benson!

Love her!

I've actually met her before at Comic Con Chicago in 2004. She's suuuuch a doll!

Aaaand I've been rocking out to Metallica waaay too much. It feels like Liz circa 2003 is back. With a vengeance. But I'm kick ass on drums on Guitar Hero Metallica. Say what you will about Lars's drumming, it's fun as hell!

    Sameish here. School hard, but good. I'm going to Ireland in the fall for study abroad, and I'm beyond thrilled. :D When you go to Columbia, be sure you work in their admissions department. It's fun as hell and also really easy. I'm sure you'd be a fun student ambassador :)

    You're at Moraine, right? Have you taken philosophy yet?
